Cats and... knitting!

Let's start with the cats. Aren't they cute? This is one of their few quiet moments. They love my computer desk, it's one of their favorite hangouts.

Next, the promised knitting picture. Excuse the frumpy nightie and completely flumped pose. It's a Saturday morning, and unless I have to go grocery shopping, I'm staying in my nighttime frump.

Morgana is watching me knit. This is before her brother decided to chew on the cable of my Addi Turbos. She saw him do it and picked up his bad habit, and now, they're impossible to knit around. As I'm typing this, they're shredding some Kleenex tissue while chasing each other through the cables behind Mr. Batty's computer desk -- after Morgana clawed a deep gouge into my left thigh while trying to climb me like a tree. Fun times!

The snakey is still a hit. Merlin, too, is completely enthralled.

Next up, pictures of some actual hand-knit objects, not just of me knitting. Promise!

They're getting so big! Have you tried catnip on them yet? Yes they go bonkers for a few minutes, but then they crash :) (my girls sleep for a good hour afterwards)

Yikes! They are dangerous to knit by huh! They are cute though! ;)

Glad to see you are getting some knitting in. :)

Ours chew the cables too! And grab the ball of yarn and run away with it before you've even noticed they're there. BF thinks its hilarious.

They grow out of the climbing thing when they get so heavy that they relaise it hurts their claws!!

Thomas likes to chew on the ends of my needles while I knit so he presents a challenge too.
Have you checked out any knitted toys ? There is a really cute one that is a whale over at knitting pattern central.
Have a great weekend.

I still get bloody streaks every now and then from my adult cat. No claws on the front paws but the back ones are fully loaded. And she loves to hunt my skeins of yarn. Beware the cute kitties as they are little devils sometimes. And be glad they're not puppies...

You know, I whad been wondering about the knitting/kitty thing! I see a lot of knitters have kitties, and I wonder how they don't destroy all of their knitting! I was especially wondering about what they do WHILE you're knitting...Anyway, cute pics and horray for knitting in your PJ's on a saturday morning!

When I saw you had a blog update on Bloglines, I thought to myself, "ooh, I hope she has some kitty photos!"

And you look pretty cute yourself knitting away!

They're so cute! It's the cuteness that makes up for the physical damage doesn't it?

Just adorable!

And those who are on a stringent yarn diet have been saying unkind things about me for mentioning Yubina.

Aw, such sweet kitties! I love the picture of Morgana going nuts with the green thing a few posts back.
My kitty just an hour ago decided to use my bare leg as a ladder to get from the floor to the back of the couch. Ouchy. I've had her for 7 years, apparently untrainable. Our other cat is very careful with his claws.

They are too cute!! Hmmm...better keep those addis away from them though! I love how they snuggle next to each other! The doggies do that to and its my favorite :)

wow - the kitties are already looking bigger! They are so cute!

Aww - pretty kitties....mine love a good chew on my addis, and a good suck on Noro too - very naughty. So I am just snatching knitting time when they are asleep.

looks like they're adapting well. Lets hope they grow out of the chewing on needles phase! :)

My sister's dog was similar to the kitties. He wanted to be in your lap and chewing on whatever you were doing. Hope they get over that soon so you can get back to your knitting!

Awwwwwwww, they're adorable. I love cuddling kitten siblings!

Sorry about the issues with knitting around them though! They'll get better as they get older.
