In the meantime, I would like some help picking a pattern for this wonderfully bright orange sock yarn. Toe up, cuff down, it doesn't matter. I have 310 yards of this stuff, my ankles are pretty skinny, and my feet are rather small (about a US size 6.5). So there should be plenty of yarn for regular-length socks.
What would you make out of bright orange sock yarn like this?

I would say a simple lace sock pattern would really show it off. Like Cookie A's Hedera, maybe?
The color is light and bright so I would go for the same with the pattern...

I've made socks with cables running up the sides with Jitterbug (similiar yardage) for my size 10 feet with no problem. I like cables in orange.
I hadn't read the comments before I thought, "Something cheerful and summery, like Hedera." And now I see another person said Hedera, too.

I don't know if you've used Lucy Neatby yarn before, but it grows a *lot* after being washed. If you have tiny wee feet, you might want to swatch to avoid ending up with giant socks that look like flippers. :-)
How about Vinnland? With a ncie solid color the pattern should show really well.

Well, the first two that jumped in my head were Fawkes and Embossed Leaves! But after reading the comments, Marigold or Hedera would be sooooo pretty!
