I just frogged my first toe up sock for the third time. Each time because I read the pattern wrong! There's a huge difference between k1, m1, k1 to end of needle and k1, m1, k to end of needle. Urgh.
Stay tuned for actual progress pictures! I'm casting on tonight, and this time, I'm getting it right, dammit!

Some patterns are difficult to read, and that is when I make assumptions and frog. Good luck with go number 4, I look forward to seeing the piccies later :-)
Good luck! Toe-ups are great. I convert almost all patterns to toe-up.
d'oh! I had someone do that in one of my sock classes; I wondered what was taking her quite so long, and realized that she now had like 32 sts on her needles on the first increase row!
She frogged (twice, I think, and then started again with different yarn). She was pleased to understand the technique when she finally 'got it', though. :)
I'm sure the next time will come out just right. Kudos to you for giving toe-up a go! I haven't yet - I've been unadventurous and only do cuff-down.
The next one will work! Keep trying - I love toe-ups and really thing it was worth the effort to learn.
Hang in there. I had trouble when I first started toe-ups. Heck, I still have trouble sometimes, but it gets there.
