I just went stash diving. Needed some yarn for the SKA November mystery sock. And took a good look at my stash. Wow, it has grown!
I've been on a yarn diet, more or less, and it has slowed down the rate of growth. But that's not the same as stash reduction. And I really, really need the stash to shrink.
So: 2010 is going to be the year of no yarn. None at all. January 1 to January 1, no excuses, no pretexts, no nothing. No yarn.

You can do it! I have managed to knit only from the stash since January of this year! Not one yarn purchase in 2009!! I know you can do it for 2010!
Good for you! I keep thinking I ought to do that, and then not doing it. So I hope you have better luck than I do :D

Wenn ich mal wieder dieses Gefühl habe "ohje, komm schon, ich will das jetzt, ist ja nicht viel...", dann denke ich in letzter Zeit daran, dass es das Garn auch in ein paar Monaten oder einem Jahr noch gibt. Hilft manchmal durchaus. Natürlich nicht immer :-)

You haven't bought any more - it breeds!! Put it all together in darkened rooms and this is what happens...you'll be fine to buy in 2010, just seperate some of those cheeky skeins..
Good luck Batty... I will try to knit more than I buy, but there's no way I could ever not buy yarn for a year! MDS&W and Rhinebeck.. wait.. does fiber count? I might be able to do it if fiber doesn't count.
