Et tu, Morgana?

I was going to talk about knitting today. But there was another cat and yarn related incident, one that needs to be shown to the world because it took a cat mere seconds to turn one of these pretty balls of off-white yarn

into this tangled mess. This is one ball of yarn. It looked like two.

The perpetrator? I staked out my knitting bag, and this is what I saw: Morgana sticking her fuzzy black head into the black tote I've been using to take my knitting to work. Where the yarn was. For some reason, this kitten is completely incapable of resisting Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran. It brings out the inner lunatic in her like no other yarn. I wonder what's in it.

Mr. Batty had previously rescued said yarn from her, but as we see, she keeps coming back for more.
The reason they don't get turned into slippers for crimes against yarn and knitting? Look at this. Aren't they cute?

They won't be so cute when they grow up and stop cuddling, but by then it'll be too late. You'll be hooked forever and ever and ever.

I can't stand it they're so cute!! My cats seem to love Debbie Bliss too!

I know its awful, but that post just made me laugh out loud. The snooping in the knitting bag is the best shot!!

Oh, thank goodness they are cute!

Oh my! What a beautiful picture!

Really, who among us could resist Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran?

Could it be that it's white yarn? My whiteish kitty likes black yarn because I think it shows her fur so well. But if she likes any DB Cashmerino, then there goes that theory!

Luckily mine seem immune to DB Cash Aran - but they are off to the vet next week for the "you know what", I'll let you know, that could be the turning point - maybe it is revenge! That photo is too cute, you have to forgive them everything. Look Mum, we are smiling for you ;-)

the picture is so adorable though. i love kitty hugging.

I'm sorry about the Debbie Bliss, but I'll admit I did laugh...Max has a thing for Cascade 220, and I have a similar picture catching HIM in the act.
Never a dull moment with the little ones, eh?

I guess on the positive side - they are bothe extremly cute and have good taste in yarn.

Awe that is the sweetest picture of the two of them!
Have you tried putting your yarn in zip lock bags? This may deter them. Or at least make it a little bit harder for the critters to get to it.

Oh, they are the sweetest little things!
If I had access to cashmerino but could not make use of it for lack of thumbs, I think I would do what Morgana did.

Sneaky little kitty! Maybe you should stick your knitting bag in the fridge. ;)

Maybe you should consider getting a knitting bag that closes at the top. :)

accomplices in crime... man! I think it's time for serious zip-lock action (either for the yarn or the cats, I'm not sure ;) ).

Hahahaha!! I love the picture of them hugging, they look so happy:-)

Too bad they are lil thugs. hehe

Awww, they're so cute!

Oy, I'm hoping they grow out of the yarn eating stage though, like mine did. My two bro-sis kittens were horrible at that age too, now I can leave yarn willy nilly though, and no damage! *fingers crossed*

wow! They are lucky they are so cute! that is one serious crime against yarn!

My only saving grace is the lack of kitties in my house. The gurls know better. The ILG's you made are gorgeous - what size foot do you have (not to get personal or anything) but I have a 6.5 which is slightly wide and when I made one on 2.5 they are far to pully. Making a new one in the yarn the designer used and hoping this one will work.
I am trying to shake the cold, but there's so much to do!

Black cats love white yarn....or mine does anyway. If i'm knitting in a dark colour he ignores it but the minute he spies pale/white yarn he is all over it like a rash. Hubby says it cos his sister was pure white and he missed her - I think it's cos he knows he'll get lots of my attention!

Those kitties are lucky there soo cute!! I was thinking about getting a pet, but I don't know how I would deal with the "yarn abuse" issues.

You know, your cats and my daughter must be secretly talking- she seems to find yarn just as intriguing... and does much the same things...
hmmm.

I can't remember how I broke my cat of messing with my yarn. I wonder if Hubby remembers. It wasn't water (because of the yarn) but something else. I'll have to think about it.

Oh - I forgot to mention... lovely socks in your last post too! ;-)

that is a very cute picture of the cats... but a reminder to me that I can never have cats lest my handmaiden stash be destroyed. I'm so selfish!

In fairness, Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran brings out my inner lunatic too.

That has to be one of the cutest shots of them at the end of the post! Too bad they are trouble makers! They should grow out of most or hopefully some of it! Eventually!
