New Year's Resolutions

It's that time of year again! So... what am I going to do in 2009? Here's the new list!

  1. Entrelac. Still haven't done it, still want to, it's time I did.

  2. Knit more than 1 sock at a time. Toe up, top down, doesn't matter. Two at a time, any way.

  3. Knit more non-sock objects. I'll always have at least one sock on the needles, but my stash needs to shrink.

  4. Shrink the stash. Knit down 2 bins and one bag of sock yarn. Smaller house, less space.

  5. Sell non-fitting clothes on eBay. Already did a huge purge (8 bags donated to charity!), but there's more.

  6. Work out regularly. It's not healthy to sit on my butt at work and at home and just stuff myself all day long. But hey, at least I managed to go vegetarian!

  7. Spend more time running games. It's fun, it's social, I don't do it enough.

  8. Start my holiday knitting early enough to actually finish by the holidays.

  9. Cross stitch and do some spinning. I've neglected both.

That's it for me, anything else will be extra. How about you? Are you making resolutions this year or just hoping for something good?

Either way, I hope you have a Happy New Year, and that 2009 has much of the good and little of the bad in store for us.

Great resolutions -- I haven't even considered mine yet.

Happy 2009!

I want to try entrelac too! I just got some pretty Kureyon today for a scarf :) And stash, mine also needs to get smaller!

Have a happy new year!

The only technique I haven't tried yet that I could resolve to do is intarsia. Maybe if I find something tempting enough. :/

I like your list though. It's good! Best of luck to you on it!

Happy New Year!

I'm with ya on shrinking the stash! I think if I try anything new, it might be knitting a sweater from the top down.

Good luck with all your resolutions, and Happy New Year to you, Mr. Batty, and the kitties!

Great resolutions, entirely doable! I too want to knit more non-sock objects. 2009 might become the year of the sweater - and the year of the hopefully non-saggy ass, I resolve to work out more as well!

I try not to make resolutions. But I definately do need to do more socks. My socks have either felted or have become holey. And I think I only knit two pairs of socks last year--only one pair was for me.

Awesome resolution list! You've just reminded me of at least three that I'd thought about but already forgotten. Knit from stash... Stash. Shoot, I just placed an order for more yarn.

And hey, if you're interested in running more games, you could always come to Frankfurt, you know, since every Sunday here at our place is the Gamers' Open House! :)

Boy, are you ambitious! I don't make resolutions anymore--I have enough guilt!

Happy New Year!

Way to go! YOu have some great things to accomplish on your list! AS for me... really I just need to stashbust and knit more socks for myself. It seems I made a lot for others this year, so it is back to me in in 2009!

Oh, I could just take your Resolution List and make it my own. All of those things, I need to do.

Hallo Batty,

Glad you liked my purse! The size 13 needles felt like telephone poles and weighed almost as much :)

Great resolutions! I plan to knit from the stash as much as possible and only buy locally--I picked up 2 skeins of the LL sport for socks at my LYS (ahem). My big goal is more colorwork.

If you really want to impress people you should learn how to knit one sock inside the other.

I have faith in your ability to try entrelac, its one of those things that just looks more complicated then it is.
