I'm making a dishcloth.
It's a good 21 years overdue. They tried to teach me when I was in the third grade, but while I picked up knitting in no time, I could not figure out how to turn a long, skinny chain of stitches into a piece of fabric. Now, I've got it.
Yes, it's unimpressive. Yes, there are many better crocheters out there. But my one third of a single-crochet dishcloth makes me happy.

And hey, your first knitting wasn't perfect, so you can't expect to start at ohmigodfabulous with crochet, either. Of course, I think it looks pretty good...

Some day I'll try crocheting again--I took a class and am still hopeless.
Hmm...at least it's something useful that your *gasp* crocheting. Heh. It's alright. We still like you. ;)

Ooh, like the yarn. I like crocheting too, but never seem to do any these days. The dishcloth looks great so far - getting something useful from your practice piece is always a bonus.
That's better than I can crochet. Crochet doesn't "click" with me.
