Interesting Twist

Today, I was going to post pictures of my nearly-finished Monkey sock. It fits perfectly -- I've made some extra decreases in the foot, so they're snug and the lace is visible and I'm very happy. So why no pictures? They've gone and changed recipients on me, and are now officially a secret project. Here's hoping foot width isn't that different, though. I did 2 extra decreases. I really, really hope that the lace can compensate for this if necessary.

The other thing I could have shown you today is the back of the Dad Sweater. It's coming along, it's no longer portable, and I just got to the interesting part. Right now, it's just a huge piece of burgunday reverse stockinette. Boring.

I hope the socks work out for the new recipient! I know I'm looking forward to seeing them.

I'm sure the new recipient of the socks will love them.

It doesn't sound like the width will be much of a problem with the pattern - and what a joy to be given such a pretty pair of socks!

Feeling the boredom with the never-ending stockinette... I'm going to be so thrilled when I get to the arm-hole decreases of current 50" circ. sweater!

Another stockinette bored to tears-er here too. But it is so pretty when it's done isn't it?

Soooo . . . why aren't you keeping them for yourself? :)

Sigh. I wish someone would knit me a pair of monkey socks!

Have you seen this mitten pattern:

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the socks will fit (although, I'm sure that the lace has plenty of give in them to work out fine).
