Off to Cleveland

...with the yarn for the Dad Sweater sleeves. I was going to finish them so they can block in my absence, but alas, my cat has developed persistence and ingenuity to match her obsessive love of alpaca. She would not budge from the bag, chomping and clawing at it.

Unfortunately, my cat understands that the plastic is between her and the alpaca. Even more unfortunately, she also understands that claws and teeth work wonders in liberating yarn.

No more alpaca for her. My plane to Cleveland leaves in a couple of hours. And when I get there, the Dad Sweater is getting sleeves -- and blocked. Away from Morgana. Somehow, I'll manage to keep her away from it.

I wish there was a magic answer. Oh wait! Have you tried the feliway spray?

Oh those bad little kitties!

Whenever I block anything, I have to shut it up alone in a bedroom because Mika loves rolling in wet wool.

Smart cat. :)

I hope you have fun in Cleveland. It's a fun city with lots to do. See if you can make it to the West Side Market--that's a must-see, in my opinion.

Have a great trip! Guess you gotta keep that alpaca in some sort of trunk/tub that she can't get into ;)

Good luck keeping her away from the yarn, and have a wonderful trip!

Maybe a plastic bag? Or a trip to the Alpaca Farm so she can see how big alpacas really are.

Little do you know she has already plotted to sneak in your suitcase and travel with you so she can still get that alpaca. You can't fool her.

Good luck, that sounds like one very determined cat!

Wow, she has got a serious jones for that alpaca! If your Dad wears the sweater the next time he visits you, she'll do a running leap onto him from across the room!

Safe travels!!

I'm impressed by that kitty's determination - WOW....

Wow, methinks that the cat likes alpaca - a LOT! Good luck keeping the kitty away.

Isn't it nice to know you're "likeable"? ;^)

My furries can't resist the alpaca either. I have to lock up my knitting bag whenever I'm working with it.

I've been meaning to tell you I picked up a Black 47 CD on your recommendation - fabulous! Thank you.

I know it's not funny, but those pix of Morgana do make me laugh. Have a great trip!

Does he claw it because he eats it or just likes the smell?
