Paying it Forward

I'm not a meme person. I'm not a chain letter person. But today, I saw something on That Crafty Bitch's blog, and I really like the idea. Check this out... a chance to win something hand crafted... by me!

The first five (cinq) (cinco) (5) people to respond to this post will get something made by me.
This offer does have some restrictions and limitations so please read carefully:

1. I make no guarantees that you will like what I make. (No refunds… no exchanges!!!!)
2. What I create will be just for you, with love from me.
3. It'll be done this year (2009).
4. I will not give you any clue what it's going to be. It will be something made in the real world and not something cyber. It may be weird or beautiful. I may even create something totally unbelievable and surprise you!! Who knows? Not you, that's for sure!
5. I reserve the right to do something extremely strange.
6. In return, all you need to do is post this text into a note/post of your own and make 5 things for the first 5 to respond to it.
7. I'll contact you for your mailing address, so we don't all get spammed. No spam! It'll be fun!

IMPORTANT: This offer is null and void if I do not see you post your own note to pay this forward.

Well, I always thought this sounded like fun! I'll play (if shipping to Canada is alright. If not, feel free to remove me from the list) too!

LOL I see that you're not getting as many responses as you normally do. I will post this on my blog, but I rarely get 5 responses. Would you reconsider dropping the number down to 3 or 4? Just in case you are curious, I wear size 7.5/38 socks--er, I mean shoes and I love wristwarmers, neckwarmers, berets, gloves, scarves, shawls, pinatas, cake, cinnamon rolls, coooooookies, blankets, afghans, mohair, pina coladas and walking in the rain. I don't care too much for cucumbers and I'm allergic to penicillin and Zythromax.

If I only get 2 people, I only get 2 people. It's the principle that counts. My guess is that the economy and time constraints are one of the reasons people are reluctant to sign up to make stuff for 5 people (that's quite a lot, really, particularly if you're also busy chasing toddlers and whatnot), and I completely understand. But I'm definitely doing this -- and yes, I ship to Canada.
