Lace Blanket of Doom

It's done, the Lace Blanket of Doom! It's blocking upstairs. This wouldn't be possible without the blockers the husband bought me for Christmas.

And a closeup:

Pattern: Lace Leaf Throw by Fibertrends
Yarn: Lionbrand WoolEase Bulky
Needles: US 11, 32" Addi Turbo circs
Dimensions: h= 56", w= 64"

I thought it would never end, but now it's done!

Can I have it?

Just kidding. I know this thing has been making you insane but it did turn out beautifully! Way to stick with it, I'd have put the whole thing in a box and sent it off to some other knitter by now. Not that I've done that...

It looks "fabulous dahlink"! Good for you for finishing it!
Unlike me, who has an aversion to finishing. Is there a name for that? But I like the journal idea. Since these are now all on Flickr, I'm just gonna put the particulars in the notes. I knew there was a reason I wanted pictures of WIPs…

Absolutely gorgeous! Glad to see you are spinning! A co-worker gave me the wool from her sheep last spring and after attempting to clean it myself, I ended up sending it to a wool mill. Its been so long I figured it was lost in the mail, but they just finally contacted me 7 months later to say the roving is done and on its way back to me! Must have been very dirty wool :)

Lovely blanket! I am dusting off my crochet skills and having fun!Nothing a few hand cramps can't hold off. :)

Thanks so much!

Oddly enough, one of my reasons for learning how to crochet is so that I don't have to knit blankets any more. I'm told that crocheting is way faster when it comes to blankets.

But so far, I've only crocheted dish cloths. I guess a dish cloth is a very, very small blanket, right?

That is bee-yoo-tiful!

The patience you must have...

Crochet lots of dishcloths and sew them together = 1 blanket :)
