Sock and Squirrel

I'm over the blahs! After frogging twice, I've made some progress on my sock pal socks. I'm using the CTH yarn because you couldn't see the cables in the LL. This is a crummy picture, but the sock is beautiful, if I say so myself!

At first, I wasn't sure about ML, but I'm getting the hang of it. and I love it.

And now, look what I saw through my kitchen window yesterday morning: this cute squirrel sitting on our neighbor's back porch. He would sit there, then stretch his little body all the way, with his feet on the porch and his little hands on the feeder, which would swing back and stretch him even further. I had a hard time taking pictures because he'd stretch, grab, sit back, stuff his face, then stretch again. Fast.

Here is the little guy in action. He stretched much further than this!

I want snow.

And re: the fellers cakes. I was shocked how tasty they were. Considering my dh & sons made them.

Squirrels are crazy! I used to work in a house that was rezoned to commercial property and there was an apple tree by the front door. They used to fight over the dangeld apples and you could hear them chasing each other across the top of the roof. You'd also hear the occaisional *thunk* and the sound of an apple rollingof the roof and crashing onto the driveway.

The socks look beautiful, Batty! i haven't tried ML, I got sucked into the 2 on 2 camp. Lol

Oooh, very nice socks! The colors are excellent, and I like the cables. Someday when I have an infinite amount of patience I'll knit cool things like that, too.

We have some red squirrels around here. They scurry around the apple trees in the backyard - it's amazing they never fall. Not that I'm watching and waiting for a squirrel to fall or anything like that...

Glad the blah took leave! :)

LOL on the squirrel! How pleased with himself do you think he was when he realized he could stretch that far? ;)

My Dad has long waged war against the squirrels. He never wins.
I'm too chicken/lazy to try magic loop. I might actually finish more socks though, instead of losing interest and doing a super crappy quick finish toe when the sock itself is three inches too short for anyone I know! Your sock looks great, though! So so nice!

My mom has some of the fattest squirrels in the state around her house, she hand feeds them windmill cookies.
