Bad feeling

I'm worried. The first sock pal sock is nearly finished, but I may have used more than half the yarn. To make matters worse, I wound the ball around the little paper band that contains a few minor bits of information, such as the name of the colorway and the dye lot. Aaaargh!

I hope I don't run out of yarn.

ooh, how scary! I restarted my sock pal's sock, but still on #1! We still have a month, right?

Oops! I know this feeling - I run into the same troubles basically all the time when I knit something. But so far it's always worked out and I've always had enough yarn in the end - I *so* have my fingers crossed that it'll be the same for you!

Yikes! I know that feeling! I had that happen before Christmas, and I ended up using my digital scale to weigh the remaining yarn and calculated how much I had left. Good luck!

Oh man, I hate that feeling! So hard to judge those smaller balls of yarn.

Got a scale? Was the best 20 bucks I ever spent. ;)

Been there done that, the only socks that I've run out of yarn on were my Jaywalkers. I needed 3 50g skeins to finish them!

Well, if you run out, you'll be near the toe. Do that in a coordinating color with an "L" or an "R" knit into it and call it a design element. :-)

What scares me is that the leg part is 8". That's a lot of yarn, more than usual for a sock. Oh, I hope I have enough!

Well, it looks like the same pattern that I used...from Knitting on the Road, right? My original skein had something like 375 yards in it, and I got both socks out of it. Didn't shorten the socks...so good luck!!
