I finished the first sock for my sock pal Jespere. I hope they fit!
I'm also hoping that I won't run out of yarn.
Here are some more thoughts on ML: At first, I thought it was awkward, but the longer I do it, the more I love it. No gaps. Anywhere. No losing DPNs. The only thing that gets lost are stitch markers, but that's why I use the cheapest kind when I'm on the go.
Now that I've knit an entire sock, I also have to say that ML is incredible for those last 8 or so stitches, which are incredibly frustrating on DPNs. 2 on each needle? I usually do that in my lap. No problems this time around!

That sock looks great! I'm still encouraged to read of your ML knitting. I have the needle all ready to go, but haven't cast on with it yet. Maybe for my next pair...or did I say that last time?
Very nice! I really need to try ML. I have the needles, I have the book... what's stopping me?
The sock looks awesome! I think I may try magic loop at some point. CTH sock yarn is so wonderful to work with, isn't it?
I can't get over those colors, they are so pretty, and the variegation works so well with the pattern!
Ahhh...just saw you were using CTH...in that case I think you'll be FINE with the yardage! Think positive!
It's pretty funny actually, the sock exchange was MY first ML experience as well...and I adored it. Will probably use it for most everything now! Now I just need a few more long needles :) Good job on getting one done!
This looks absolutely fab! Such beautiful colours too!
Oooh, very pretty! So pretty, in fact, that I just might have to try knitting socks again. Hope the yarn yardage works out for you. I do believe there's some magical knitting fairy who stops in once in a while to make sure we have enough yarn...
That looks lovely. Fingers crossed you have enough yarn.
ML is great.
That sock looks awesome.
Props for ML!! I started using it and never looked back. It's the lack of gaps that I LOVE. No more ladders and I think it's faster. It can be used for so many things from sleeves to mitten cuffs to hats!
Magic Loop rocks my world!!!!! Congrats on learning Sue
Btty the socks look great and you're a winner on my blog. Stop by and see me.
Nicely done!
I on the second sock of my first magic loop pair (inspired by you! :)), and so far I really like it! I love me my dpns, but ml *did* make the transition from gusset to foot less awkward!
I love this sock. Why not weigh the sock, then weigh the yarn left to see if you have enough. that what i usually do if I'm unsure.
