Stitch markers and Manos

I got stitch markers! I won them on knitten kitten's blog, and they're fabulous! Look at them, aren't they pretty?
And yes, that's a crochet hook. My knitting is on size 11 needles and the markers won't fit. Not that I need 'em for that particular project.

Speaking of project, here it is, My so-called scarf in Manos, color: mulled wine. I love this yarn. It is beautiful, the colors are stunning, it's squishy, it's a joy to knit with. I only started this morning, but this is knitting up very quickly, and I think I'll make a hat to go with it.

Sorry for the sideways image. Too lazy to flip it.

oooohhhh that is the most amazing yarn ... so beautiful. and nothing beats some lovely stitch markers.

except, maybe, the fact that THE CURE ARE TOURING AUSTRALIA which is making me feel slightly demented with joy.

Just wanted to let you know-- they have a basic weight scale at Target, with just a dial. I think it's pretty cheap also.
Love the stitch markers.

Don't you love that stitch pattern? It's kind of addictive, really. And combined with Manos and new markers...life is just good.

That yarn is goooorgeous!! Goodness. And I love the stitch markers. On a crochet hook. Which is something I will probably never, ever master.

I made a hat using the My So Called Scarf stitch pattern. (It's on my blog.) The pattern is in the band and the rest is stockinette. I loved making that scarf.

Hi Batty,
Thanks for your comment on my shawl! To answer your question, I just used a plain old long-tail cast on. I'm usually too lazy to learn other cast ons. I don't remember what my total # of stitches caston was, but I think I did 7 repeats wide instead of the 5 in the sportweight pattern. And it came out plenty wide.
That Manos looks delicious!

On a side note, every time I see your name on the board or a blog, I get "doing the Batty Bat" from Sesame Street stuck in my head.. i love that song.
