100th Post and a FO

So this is it, my 100th post! I wish I'd realized this sooner. With a bit of planning, it could have been more impressive. As is... well, you'll have to make do with a picture in which I look crazy, but which shows off my So-Called Scarf to great advantage. I've received so many compliments on this!

Details:
Pattern: My So-Called Scarf
Yarn: Manos del Uruguay in Mulled Wine, 2 skeins
Needles: US 11

Thanks for all the good wishes and advice, I'm assembling my travel knitting as we speak. Updates on the progress of my yarn selection to follow, but so far, it's mostly socks, and yarn for a second Lotus Blossom Tank, this one for my sister in the new SWTC bamboo, which is so much softer than the old stuff!
I also bought a bunch of knitting magazines, 1 new knitting book, 1 new spinning book (which looks awesome), and size 0 and 1 DPNs. I hope they let me take those on the plane!

What a great scarf! When I went to Portland last weekend I purposely brought bamboo dpns but I also had aluminum circs, and had no problem at all in the airport. Have a great trip!

Congrats on your 100th post! I might get there in, oh, say, 2010. Now I'm thinking I need to knit one of those so-called scarves!

Happy 100th post! And great job on the scarf, it's lovely!

I took my Silvalume DPNs on the plane to London and from Paris with no problems, so hopefully, you'll be just fine. :)

I took a whole bunch of bamboo DPNs on the plane with me, just stuck them in a pencil case. Not a blink from the security people!

(When are you leaving!?)

Your first sock is done! Pics soon, woohoo!

Gorgeous scarf! Man, I hope they let you knit--that's a long flight. See if you can score some good German yarns when you're there. :-)

Happy 100th post! Your scarf looks really pretty and cozy. I hope your trip goes well!

Don't worry too much about the needles. I flew El Al last summer and even they didn't care about my little double pointed needles that I used on the plane.

What a totally beautiful scarf this is - the Manos looks to die for, especially in this colourway, and the pattern is obviously the perfect one for the yarn! Absolutely fabulous!
And hey, congrats on your 100th post - and yay for many, many more!
