New Mac!

I am back! One of the big computer chain stores is closing all stores in our state and I got a brand-new Mac on sale. This is my first Mac ever, so we're still getting used to each other. As in, I'm not even sure how to burn a file onto CD. But I'm learning, I'm knitting, and tomorrow, I'll put up some pictures.

One of the downsides of this sudden transition is that I lost all of my bookmarks. So if I regularly visit your blog but you don't hear from me in a couple of days, drop me a line. Don't be shy. I haven't lost interest, I just haven't found you again.

What would my blog be without Batty? I'm still here!

Glad to hear about the new computer. With God as my witness, my next computer will be a Mac. I don't care how long it takes me to learn to use it!

Yay for Macs :)
I might just have to check out those going out of business sales. Not that I can afford a new computer right now, but still. Since you commented on my blog this morning, I guess you already know my address.

Congratulations on the shinny new computer, but were you able to save your files?

Burnning a CD is easy. For data just put in a blank cd, click open in finder when the box pops up. Then you just drag and drop whatever you want to put on it. In the end ctrl click and select burn. (or you can just drag it to the trash and it should burn)

Thanks for the advice, the congratulations, and your comments -- they're helping me find all of you again!

Also, thanks for the disk burning advice. I'm loving my Mac so far. There are many things I don't know how to do, but I can already tell that it's a very elegant machine.

And for anyone thinking of buying a Mac: the desktop model is about $1000 cheaper than a comparable laptop! If portability isn't a big issue, it's a great option.

I've got my first Mac, too! I HATE iphoto, that's the only downside... compared to my old PC laptop, pictures are a serious pain in the ass now, but otherwise, I'm adjusting!!
